Silhouette: Women in Art
Stop by the Cheyenne Creativity Center in March for its 2nd annual celebration of Women’s History Month with our exhibition Silhouette: Women in Art. We invite female artists from all backgrounds to share their creative journeys. Whether through innovative mediums, unique perspectives, or the exploration of new ideas, this show aims to spotlight the rich talent of women artists in our community. Beyond showcasing their skills, this exhibition seeks to amplify the diverse voices and stories of all women and their profound impact on our cultural heritage. Let your art stand as a testament to the vibrant contributions of women shaping our world.
I will have three new pieces in this show! Death of a Homestead is a two-piece mixed media project. Also included a photograph titled Bosler Consolidated Schools.
Western Spirit Art Show and Sale, 2025
Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum will present its 44th Western Spirit Art Show and Sale, opening March 8 at the museum. I am excited to be participating for the third time.
Gebo and Contrail will be part of the show. Here’s what I wrote about this piece:
“A contrail in the sky over the ruins of a building in the abandoned mining town of Gebo, Wyoming, illustrates the changes of time. The stone ruins recall the flourishing coal mining business that brought prosperity and growth to early 20th century America, contrasted by modern fuels used in aviation.”
